Our aim is simply to provide a focal point for professionals and a space for shared learning, based on a desire to highlight our profession. Hence the reason we have drawn up the following code of conduct for our sector.
Code of conduct
Specialisation
We understand the events industry to be a highly skilled sector. We are openly committed to professionals that are qualified and specialised in their field of work.
Rigor
An essential requirement in the organisation of events. We shy away from “copy-and-paste” solutions and place ourselves at the service of the events industry, with high levels of expectation and rigor.
Commitment
Our aim is to consolidate the events sector and make it grow, as it is here to stay and set to become a key part of the new Bilbao/Bizkaia.
Independence
This forum calls for independence in its way of creating and understanding the future. Without answering to anyone, we discuss topics, generate debate, and adopt a critical approach whenever necessary.
Unfair competition
We are firmly committed to combatting unfair competition, and we shall defend the sector’s interests in any situations that might compromise its credibility, coherence and quality.
Research
We want to contribute to the sector and report any new advances in terms of research and development regarding new kinds of events, services and products for our profession.
Credibility
Our most valuable resource and out biggest asset. A profession without credibility ceases to be a profession and becomes part of something else…
Rallying power
We aim to become a reference point for the sector. Besides providing a space for meeting, sharing know-how and networking, we will be able to convene potential providers, customers, administrations, users of our services, the media, professional associations, and other social and economic agents within our environment.
